Yeah but I miss New Jersey a lot. Ehh, cant afford it anyway.

If he sells hardened parts Ill pass. No I have not had Waller build me one yet. I think Ill stick with it myself. I learn a lot everytime I do one. Last 3-4 failure was caused by a faulty solenoid. And another part but dont knwo waht its called. Plus, I cant imagine what it would cost to ship a trans. Waller does do amazing work though, he did my turbo for me nad I love it. There are just some things I like to do myself , like my motor.

I'd have HHP do it before Waller. Much better parts, let alone closer in location too. Why no hardened part though??

Ok, now this is just what al ot of the tranny builders who race here have told me. It makes sense too. Hardened parts are so hard that they tend to become somewhat fragile. They break. Have you ever broken an easy out? Its not hard to do nad they are Hardedned. The fact that rhere is no flex what soever makes them tend to break more. I asked one guy, why do they sell them then and why do race apps use them? He told me that they are sold for $ reasons cause they can make more from the hardening process and not all racers use them. Told me I would be surprised to find how many dont. He goes on to say that its not like jsut becasue you use hardened parts its going to break but why spend the money if you can get the same life out of stock type parts. The ohnly upgraded parts I really want to use are things like the one piece rubber pressure plates and shit liek that. I think Ill stay away from the hardened parts as I dont see it as a necessity. I think its all a matter of opinion and personal experience to what parts you want to use hardened or not. I dont know if there is any actual proof of which would last longer overall.

Not sure about them being "fragile". Call HHP if you really want an in-depth conversation about it. I just know his trannies are the strongest anywhere for these trucks. I know they will last longer than yours are  Not trying to convince you one way or the other, just trying to give some helpful info. I know a bunch of old hot rodders that always give bogus advise that they thought worked in the 60's, so I have learned to be suspecious of any info given.
