left hand turn..clunk,clunk,clunk?

I just broke my front propshaft again last week at the starting line. I believe either the tranny mount is broke or the torsion bar mount. When I take a left turn it makes the clunking sound, as if the t-case is hitting the floor.This started a week before the propshaft broke. Anyone have some hints for checking these items? I don't want to replace the propshaft to have it destroyed again. Thanks,

you sure its not a cv axle? Is it still doing it with the poopshaft out?

mine does it too. and as you and i discussed on the phone. i'm gonna check the tranny and transfer case mounts.
ian- do you remember when i spooled up in my parking space and the front of the truck lifted up? it made a clunk before it lifted, that's the clunk christian is talking about.

Check BOTH engine mounts too..... Could be torquing over motor on some bad motor mounts.
