Is my safety loop mounted correctly?

Is it supposed to mount under the crossmember (as shown in the pic) or on top of the crossmember?
The drive shaft is rubbing near the top of the loop....

I bolted mine on and set the truck down. It was closer to the top of the driveshaft so I bent it down until the gap was the same all the way around - no problems

A picture is worth a thousand words. Is there anyway that you could post a pic of it? I have the old school style rear loop that doesn't require removing the driveshaft to install. Phil has been selling these things for years, this is the first time I have heard on anyone having an issue with one.

There are so many production differences in these trucks that I've built in some adjustibility.

First thing would be to unbolt the "loop" section from the "C" lower section. Turn the lower piece over. Then bolt the upper section back to it. This will move it over 3/4".

You could also "bend" the lower section upward slightly. Don't do it on the truck, take it off first.

I could also make you a spacer that would lift the upper section 1/4" for clearance.

I'll turn the lower piece over as adviced and test it out. If it still rubs then I'll get the spacer from you.
