Fluids...Any recommendations??

I was going to give my truck a quick “fluid flush” and a friend of a friend is the manager at a local Jiffy Lube ??:tup:??:tdown:?? and recommended the following...

Oil change (Synthetic)
Oil filter
Remove old coolant and replace with new (what is the correct color?)
Remove old differential fluid and replace with new
Remove old transfer case fluid and replace with new
Fuel system cleaning (I already replaced the fuel pump and filter)
Remove old transmission fluid and replace with new
Remove old transmission filter and replace with new

Any recommendations on fluids and services mentioned above?

I use amsoil fluids on all of my vehicles. I don't sell it but I have a commercial account for my business.

I also use Amsoil and Jiffy Lube is the last plae I'd take something for an oil change. Ask him about their engine flush proceedure. After they drain your oil they pour a quart of oil in it before putting the drain plug back in, and claims that flushes your system, it only costs you $29.95 extra, nice profit for a quart of $3 oil

I was going to post a question on fluids,namely Dexron and the fact that SyTys are supposed to use Dexron IIE I believe. I was always under the impression that IIE is pretty much unavailable now. Well it seems to be in the UK. So, I have been doing a bit of searching. I have used Redline products before with mixed results but when looking on their website at their Transmission fluids. http://www.redlineoil.com/
They still produce a Dexron 'IIE' fluid, racing fluids, as well as the III and newer compatible products. Reading the specs/blurb makes interesting reading as the Dexron III does have different characteristics than the IIE, but the common consensus seems to be that III is now the way to go. Short of sending Redline a 'Tech' question for their recommendation for the SyTy, which stresses the 700 probably more than any other 'standard' GM application out there, I wondered what you guys thought about the Redline stuff and the tech info/blurb. Like I said, I have used Redline fluids before and apart from a 87 4+3 Vette that didn't like the MTL in the manual box, I have found their products OK. But apart from brand loyalty and personal dislikes, I was hoping for feedback on the Technical Info rather than personal brand preferences and the fact that IIE has different characteristics than III. Is there any correlation to failures due to changing from IIE to III for example?? Some have transmissions that last 100Kmiles+ others seem to have regular failures. Some seem to like synthetic ATF, others do not. Any hard facts out there?

Sorry, but not quite. I worked at a Jiffy Lube for 2 yrs, and what the "engine flush" actually is is a concentrated cleaner (a solvent basically) that they pour into the engine before draining the oil, and they allow it to run for 5 minutes before draining and replacing the filter. mobil one all the way around but use just plain cheap dextron in the trans and t case.Dont use any fluids that you have to order or hunt around for it will become a pain in the ass.
