I've had some kills before this, but this is my first one to post because I'm so proud of it. Was coming home tonight leaving hooters lot, when this c6 vette flys off the exit ramp right as i pull out of the lot.
Was 2 guys in a black c6 with giagantic ass rear wheels, but sadly wrapped with what looked like kumho's. Sounded pretty stock, and wasnt loud at all. Even if it was I couldn't hear it over my menacing open cat. I had half a tank of xylene blend, supposedly good for 103 octane.
I got beside him in line at a light, but was 2-3 cars back.Once it turned green I waited for the cars in front to clear, then goosed it to spin the rears for a good second or two and let the turbo spool out once i got past him a lil. he got into my lane and spun through a gear and caught up real quick. Got excited to see some interest and set the ultimate to T2-18. We got side by side in a turning lane and I planned to stay in 2nd and hit it at about 25-30 once we evened out.
Why would I go from a roll you ask? Not having a front propshaft really doesn't help with traction on launches, especially not when making more power than stock
Light goes green, 2 cars run their light as ours goes, but we still turn and hit it once we even out. My assumption of the speed we'd both straighten out was almost precise, carefully layed into it around 25, trying to concentrate on instant, constant acceleration since its so easy to slip while RWD.
He instantly pulls on me form the start, but has a horrible shift into whatever gear around 35-40 (i guess 3d?). I gain about half a length and continue to pull until around 65, and by the time we shut down at 85 my nose was at his door. Those bastards that ran the light were in the way  !
Oh well, I was able to put at least a length, maybe 2 on a brand new vette. He flashes the brights and we pull into a fuddruckers to bs. He wasn't as surprised as I thought he'd be, as he knew what it was when he heard the turbo. He was annoyed at the shift he screwed up, but was pretty surprised that I pulled on him through his 3d gear.
I think it's one of my best races, even though it wasnt a real kill. Other than this my best was a GTO a while back when I had the front prop in. I cut off the muffler and its done a lot for the truck, including evening out my boost. Used to I'd consistently get 2-4 psi less than what I had set, now it's dead on.
