converter flushing

Anyone know where I can get this done? Something that most tranny shops would have or is this some specialty equipment? I'm swapping out the 2600 PI for the 3300 billet 9/11 I've had sitting on the shelf from the 1st tranny. It spooled the T72 BB without any problem but I can't make any boost off the line with the T74 non-BB. The 3-4 clutches burned on the 1st tranny so I want to flush out any crap that might be in there. TIA.

Re: converter flushing

The connections are hard to reach, and the shop "techs" will invent some new swear words, but... yes, any lube shop with a trans fluid replacement rig can flush the trans fluid. Most have one. Negotiate ahead of time on synthetic fluid price, etc. They will likely ream you for anything but their cheap "house" fluid. I was able to negotiate bringing my own fluid and additive and paying them their usual fee for the cheap fluid.

Re: converter flushing

I don't need the trans flushed, just a converter. It's not in the truck. I want to flush it before I put it in

Re: converter flushing

there is no way to flush the converter. it should be opened up and cleaned out. will cost you about $125 at most conv shops.
