4L80E cooling requirements

With the 700R4, it was always recommended to do an aux cooler in addition to the stock cooler in the radiator. Is this true for the 4L80E as well, or is a single aftermarket cooler (large B&M for example) sufficient? I am ordering a new radiator and need to know if it needs the internal cooler or not.

I have done some testing on Jeremy's and temp. He has stock cooler+aux. Holding the truck at the line under boost for about 20seconds didn't see much raise in temps. In a 700 that would be death.

I plan to just run an aux cooler myself.
