I'd agree with a wide search. If you find one you're interested in, see if someone nearby can take a preliminary look for you. I've done it a few times for purchasing from another state.

I would try using an AirLift or similar vacuum bleeder.

Welcome! They have been increasing in value a lot lately. There are still plenty of Typhoons that sell for less than $20k, but they are the higher-mileage, less-perfect examples that would never make it to an auction house.

My Ty has only seen salt once, and it was on a trailer for that drive, and washed right afterward. It looks pretty similar underneath. I think even high humidity can have an effect on the chassis components.

I don't recall a rubber seal in the slot.

Pin GF15 on the light green connector. Should be a light green wire, too.

Are you sure it isn't just grease on it? There is usually some white grease in there to make it operate smoothly.
