Re: cv axle brand I had my stock ones rebuilt, and a year later the boots are torn again. The aftermarket boots must not be any good. Not sure what my next move is.

Re: Clunk when turning I had the "popping" noise when turned lock to lock also. My friend works as a tech at Chevy dealer, and he found it in 5 minutes. He cleaned and lubed my steering stops on the spindles and the control arms. I thought, there is no way that's going to fix it, but sure...

Re: Melling oil pump I used a Melling high volume pump part number M-55HV on my build. Hope this helps.
