Re: Rear Differential Questions chevrolet used 7.5" ring gear and 26 spline axles up until 1989 then started converting over to 7 5/8" ring gear w/ 28 splined axles. You can put a 7 5/8" ring gear on a 7.5" differential, and can go the other way but you'd have to heat the ring gear up to fit...

Re: TC lockup questions. Won't this burn the clutch in your torque converter up? I've always heard that this is a very bad thing to do. The clutch in the converter is not that big and isn't meant to hold wot runs + shifting.
