1992 Typhoon at WWVA in Colorado?

I wish you could "super-like" a post. This is an excellent find. And, based on those photos, in my mind basically 100% confirms a repaint. Which also explains slightly misplaced reapplied Typhoon badges. Really appreciate your reply.

1992 Typhoon at WWVA in Colorado?

I have been interested in this 1992 Typhoon for quite a while. I am a few states away from Colorado and can't just go look. It presents as very low mileage (25k) and clean. The price is reasonable at $32,900. Despite this, it has been sitting on the market, I think for over a year. I reached out...

Help vet this truck: Typhoon #1427

Yes, it was there for a while and you're correct that there were 2 at the same time. The other was a '93 and sounded to be in slightly worse condition. Thank you for your input.

Help vet this truck: Typhoon #1427

Hey SyTy community! (If you want, scroll to the end for the short story. :)) I am interested in this truck located in Iowa: 1992 GMC Typhoon 1GDCT18Z2N0811427 This truck was previously for sale through SS Motors in Blaine, MN. This is supported by a Cars and Bids auction which confirms it was...

    Question about stock badges

So were the side decals just likely added by PAS at some point during ‘92 and that’s why some trucks have them and some don’t?

    Question about stock badges

I have already learned from another thread that 92 Typhoons started production with black grill emblems and switched to red probably between vehicle 1500 and 1600. Very interesting! I’m still curious about question #2 above. 😁

    Grill Emblems

Found this post also from you. Now it’s clear to me that you’re saying 92 Typhoons had black emblems initially and switched to red at some point that year. http://www.sytyforums.com/threads/correct-syclone-emblem-in-grill.101485/post-1554751 thank you!

    Grill Emblems

Wow, interesting! I’m strictly talking Typhoons here, but in light of what you are saying, if I see a ‘92 Typhoon with a red emblem then that is likely aftermarket? All ‘92 Typhoons had black emblems? Or like you said with the Sy trucks, it’s not that cut and dried? Really appreciate your...

    Grill Emblems

So the black GMC grill badge was a sought-after stock option?

    Question about stock badges

For the 1992 Typhoon, were there badge options where the buyer could delete/change them if desired? Specifically, I have 2 questions: 1) If I see a Typhoon with a black GMC grill logo (which seems common) was that a stock option or is that always an aftermarket alteration? 2) Especially for...
